Summary of SMART - Sustainable management of offshore groundwater resources

The SMART project is researching ways to use offshore groundwater resources sustainably. Marine controlled source electromagnetic instrumentation was used to find potential sources of groundwater in October 2018. Results are still being analyzed, but initial findings suggest that there may be fresh water reserves near the Maltese island.
