He doesn't recognize the items, so he tries to open the kitchen window, but it's locked. He decides to go into the kitchen disguised as his dad, but he's caught and is about to be punished with a cake. He grabs a cake knife and defends himself, slicing his dad's hand. He manages to get away and goes to the mailbox, where he finds a red package and two bills. He opens the package and finds a PDA and an envelope with the suburb logo on it. He realizes it's his dad's PDA, which he had left at his old house. He returns home and tells his dad about the package, and they go inside to look for the slip of paper. They find it in the kitchen and it's a note from the Riddler telling him that his course schemes are those less of a prankster than a common pickpocket. The Riddler says that his riddle is absence itself, and it's going to be a long day.
