The video is a montage of footage of abandoned Zellers stores, once a successful Canadian retailer that was bought out by Target. Target's expansion into Canada failed, and all but one of the Target Canada stores have closed, leaving only abandoned Zellers locations behind.

• 00:00:00 Walmart began to significantly disrupt the Canadian retail market in the early 2000s, eventually taking over as the country's largest retailer. Zellers, one of Canada's largest and most iconic discount retailers, went through a number of major expansions and acquisitions during its history, but ultimately failed to keep up with Walmart's growth. Today, there are only a few scattered Zellers locations across Canada.

Zellers was facing fierce competition from Walmart and was struggling, leading to a series of layoffs and store closures. In January of 2011, Hudson's Bay Company announced they would be selling 220 Zellers leases to the American retailer, Target. This purchase would effectively almost eliminate the Zellers brand, as Target would be expanding their company with a Canadian division taking over these lease locations. By March of 2012, all Zeller stores across Canada had closed and began their transformation into Target Canada. Target was investing an unbelievable amount of money into this expansion, but ultimately failed due to poor decisions made regarding distribution and pricing. Target Canada was closed in 2015, losing over seven billion dollars. Zellers remained open, however, due to Hudson's Bay continuing to keep three stores open in 2014.
