The shopper's family is involved in the decision not to allow the shopper and his/her child to see each other, and they have all publicly stated that they hope the shopper and her/his boyfriend are given the harshest penalty allowable by law.

After playing a portion of the video, the story becomes heartbreaking as we learn that the man is Daniel Halseth, the son of a farm worker who died from a brain aneurysm when Daniel was in his junior year of high school. Despite his father's death, Daniel manages to keep going and finishes his degree in music and business. In 2010, Elizabeth, his wife, decides to run for a state senate seat in Nevada. Daniel, who is working full-time, becomes the primary parent and goes out on the road campaigning. After she wins the election, Daniel returns to Las Vegas and the family lives a normal life, until Elizabeth's career takes center stage. She decides to run for Governor of Nevada, and Daniel has to go back out on the road campaigning.

Daniel would actually reach out to Tiger directly and beg him to stop messaging his wife and to just leave his family alone but the texting and the calling and the interactions between those two would not stop. Then finally in October of 2011 so less than a year into Elizabeth's first term as a state senator, Daniel would find out that his wife and Tiger had been away together alone on this long extended work trip. Elizabeth begged her daughter to come home, but Sierra refused. In May of 2021, the custody battle came to a close when the judge ordered that Sierra be returned to her mother.

Bogdana then called her granddaughter and didn't answer her phone, and when she sent a message that didn't sound like her, she knew something was wrong. Christine contacted the police and they arrived at the house and found Daniel's car missing and the house was silent. Peggy, the landlord, arrived and Christine told her what she had seen. The police arrived and found Daniel's car and the women inside. The women admitted to withdrawing cash from the atms, purchasing items at a grocery store, and spending the night at Daniel's residence.
