Summary of Intel ARC A770 / A750 Graphics Review: Here Comes A New Challenger

The Intel ARC A770 and A750 are new graphics cards that offer competitive performance against AMD's older hardware. However, they still have some areas where AMD outperforms them. The A770 is especially impressive as it is 25 faster than the A750 and 64 faster than the RX 6600 XT.

• 00:00:00 The Intel arc graphics has finally arrived at enthusiast level grade with the debut of the arc a770 and a750. While there are some issues with the cards, they are nonetheless promising. The a770 limited edition features RGB lighting, while the a770 regular edition features 32 XE cores and 8 or 16 gigs of GDDR6 memory. The a770 and a750 are both built on Intel's Alchemist G10 dies, and have similar specs. The a750 is limited to eight gigs of RAM and 512 gigabytes per second of bandwidth, while the a770 is limited to 16 gigs of RAM and 560 gigabytes per second of bandwidth. The core I9 10900k system of the last couple of years gives way to the 12 900k paired with g-skills impressive 6000 Mega transfer per second Trident Z5 ddr5. The new benchmarking Suite is built around new graphics apis established engines and forward-looking features like raid facing. These are the few future of gaming, and are good news for Intel arc. However, they do mean that these titles will not highlight arc's weaknesses.

In gameplay terms, the A770 could easily run Shadow of the Tomb Raider locks at 4K in xcss performance mode RT proved a little too much for it though with frame rates dropping into the 50s still though this is a 1080p 1440b class card and xcss could put supported titles into 4K territory and that's good titles that run well anyway also benefit of it tremendously. On the other hand, the A750 trades blows with the 3060 in terms of performance. Circa 40 faster overall, it is pretty impressive once again. Arc has Legacy game support, but raid facing just isn't competitive, leaving Arc as the first step in a long journey for Intel. They're also giving away a game pack including Modern Warfare 2 which helps to make these cards a more compelling package.
