We are proud to have him here, as he is a Mexican born in Oaxaca, and has achieved great success in his field. He is a licenciate in chemistry from the UNAM, and is currently doing a doctorate in the field of chemical engineering at one of the world's leading institutions. Ricardo's story begins when he was four years old and had to leave his home to study at Morelos due to the fact that his brothers were already studying at the UNAM. It was much easier for him now that he is a adult, as he only has a few years left before he opens his own telesecundaria. There are now almost two thousand people attending his restaurant, which has only one phone line. The majority of young people only attend primary, secondary, and university level education before settling down and becoming "alcamistas", or farmers. Ricardo wants to break the cycle of poverty and pursue a better life for himself and his family: he is determined to become a university professor and change the lives of his family.
