The technology industry's origins date back to the Stone Age, when our ancestors discovered that a series of hard rocks such as quartz, obsidian, and chalcedony could be shaped and sharpened. This discovery, along with the experience developed for sharpening tools enabled them to fabricate the first knives and axes. These tools made hunting easier, providing them with daily food supplies. This human activity and its resulting product, known as technology, is what we call when we use systems to produce objects and develop systems to solve problems. There are six steps to technology: problem solving, idea development, design, construction, evaluation, and commercialization. At this stage, all of the necessary materials and tools are collected and planned. The project is usually called a "project plan" and can be known as the "phase of design." The fourth step is the construction phase, in which the idea is developed and tested to make sure it is valid. The fifth and sixth steps
