He eventually remembers the words of his master and learns that he is always with him. The protagonist feels ashamed for what he had done, so he starts to remember the song his mother used to sing when he cut the wire that was hanging the robe. The song was "Peace, Peace, Peace." The protagonist repeats the song several times and feels much better after doing so. He then remembers Jesus and realizes that it is through Him that he can find peace. He feels relief and gratitude for having found his way back.
