The old lady tells her husband about her plans to make a gingerbread man, and he helps her cut and bake the dough. The old lady puts the gingerbread man in the oven, and then sits down to wait for him. When she smells the cookie, she puts on oven gloves and takes him out. The old lady then makes eyes, a nose, and clothes for the gingerbread man, and puts cherries in his mouth. The old lady then sits down to watch her gingerbread man run away. The Gingerbread Man races across a ranch, a grazing cow, a pig, and a chicken, but finally arrives at the old lady's garden. The old lady, cow, pig, and chicken all try to catch the Gingerbread Man, but he's too fast for them. Geppetto is happy to have a family of his own, and continues to carve until he finishes the puppet set. He sets it up on a chair and starts to tidy up his workshop, when he hears the voice again. This time, he recognizes it as that of his own son, who he had long ago lost. Geppetto is overjoyed to finally have his son back and they hug each other tearfully.
• 00:10:00 A boy named Pinocchio is sold to a puppet master for a wooden puppet, but then he hears the voice of a fairy and starts to obey. The fairy saves him from a life of being a puppet, and he is able to go to school and grow his money.

The fairy appears again and warns him not to lie to her, but pinocchio instead chooses to continue to lie. His nose starts to grow longer and longer until it's so long he can't even move his head very well. Finally, he realizes his nose is growing because he's lying, and he tells the fairy the truth. The fairy uses her magic wand to change his nose back to the right size, and she's pleased that he chose the right thing. She uses her wand again to make more money, and warns pinocchio not to waste it. He starts walking to town again, but when he gets there, he runs into the puppet master from the circus. The puppet master is very upset that pinocchio escaped and thinks it would be best if pinocchio disappeared. He catches pinocchio and throws him into the sea, but when he falls into the sea, he doesn't sink. He stays afloat on the water because he's made of wood.
